5 Traits to a Better You

I've been big on self improvement as of late. While living a new lifestyle of looking to always be better, the relationships, the knowledge, the learning of ones self has me wanting to share this piece of me with you....

Give

Give? What is it to give? It's been reported that those who give live a happier lifestyle. Enticed? Giving is a win-win situation being that it not only makes the receiver happy but in turn the act stimulates a level of satisfaction within yourself in seeing someone else happy.

Giving and sharing doesn't have any negative impact. So... go give. This is simple! Give, become a happier you. Impact the lives of others in a positive manner. Your world improves...

Listening

Where we all win is listening before we speak. Sincerely listening to what is spoken to us allows for optimal growth. You should always listen and then speak. Perks of listening; you will get more information from the people your in contact with, you will increase others' trust in you, you will reduce conflict, you will better understand how to motivate others, and you will inspire a higher level of commitment in the people. Consequently enough these very things will only improve ones self so how can you not be interested in listening?

Leadership

Now, there are a bevy of qualities that can help us all become a effective leaders!...

I'll share with you what I feel are some of my favorites.

  1. Communication
  2. Delegating
  3. Positivity
  4. Inspiring
  5. Caring

Leadership is the single most important trait of self improvement and self awareness. If you can effectively begin to "try" and perfect your leadership skills, your purpose, responsibility, and impact elevates. You become someone to someone.

Thinking

Being a critical thinker allows for growth in insurmountable ways! Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action.

If you can sit back and thoroughly detach yourself from being submerged into your opinion, your walk of life, and evaluate what's best for you, others involved, or even the task at hand then you are well on your way I tell ya!

Communication

Now how often do we hear that communication is the key to any sort of relationship?

I personally feel that being overly communicative is the way to go to ensure zero sorts of miscommunication and misunderstanding.

Well, what's the benefit of an effective communicator... deepening your connections to others, improving teamwork, decision making, and problem solving. It enables you to communicate even negative or difficult messages without creating conflict or destroying trust. Once you've achieved this you've become that much closer to being a leader. Leaders make the world go round as they're self improving well improving the lives of others.
